Wonderful experience! Food was good, but the ambiance was phenomenal! We stumbled upon it waiting for our daughter at a school function. Turns out, Friday night is Karaoke night! Only one man sang while we were there, but we had to leave before they got busy. He did a great job! The chicken fajita meat was delicious. I wasn’t a fan of the guacamole. I like to taste the avocado. Too much cilantro and onion. Cheese enchilada was delicious and my hubby loved the tacos rancheros.
I don't usually leaves reviews. Buy this place absolutely deserves one. The beef, chicken and shrimp fajitas were some of the best I've ever had. Every thing was tender and perfectly cooked. The corn tortillas were lackluster. Buy still didn't take away from the dining experience. Hands-down I will definitely be back! The sweet Waitress was so very nice. Thank you for a great dinner!!
The server was amaizing, super sweet and patient. The food was served quick. The ambient made me feel like I was in someone's house, warm and nostalgic. I loved it there. I ordered for takeout: the tilapia with rice, beans and salada, a dessert that had apple cream, cheesecake cream and came with ice cream, a huge lemonade. The price was reasonable. The taste of the main plate made me feel like I was eating at my granma's; delicious ( it wasn't a strong flavour, so it might depend on personal taste). It was not spicy, but they can serve w/ spicy sauce. 10/10
Great food and portions at a great price, but the people that work here are the best. They take the time to explain the menu, etc. Don’t let the location discourage you in that it sits off by itself. Super clean. They also have entertainment and karaoke on Friday nights.
This restaurant is the definition of authentic Mexican food. The Lady that served us was so sweet and amazing. Not to mention the chef cooking is just amazing. I will definitely recommend people to try it out.
Quaint little restaurant with amazing food!! Looking for a different restaurant this time in Midland and stumbled upon Candilejas. Small, well kept and delicious food. Try it. You’ll be glad you did
Can't believe I've been sleeping on this gem the camaron a la diabla was delicious you can choose how spicy you want it got a 2 and it was perfect not to hot not to mild.
A small, intimate interior. You feel like you’re sitting down at a friends kitchen table! The service was fantastic, our waitress was so kind and conversational, everything our group tried was very good. I’ve been searching for a Mexican restaurant with at the very least good salsa here in Midland, and this checked that box and beyond. The whole restaurant is cooked for by a single chef, he’s obviously very skilled at what he does. A diamond in the rough! Give them a try!
